My reflection today:
“Don’t be afraid; believe.
Trust that the days ahead will be filled with peace and strength
and the future will be all
it is meant to be.
I am praying…
I am believing…
Believe with me.”  – Rick Norman
This short little reflection is needed now more than ever.
These are very difficult times in our world. Having trust in God that everything will be all right.?

My reflection today:
“When all is said and done,
I will judge my life by the people I met along the way,
the friends I laughed with, shared with, and cried with;
the people who held me up when it seemed like all I could do was fall;
who made me laugh when there was nothing left to say;
who accepted me and celebrated me for being exactly who I am.” – Vanessa Bridson
God has given us special people in our lives that we call friends.
Each one of us have people in our lives that are very close friends.
Today let us stop and think God for the gift of friends who have been in our lives.?

My reflection today:
“Rather than wondering about or questioning the direction your life has taken, accept the fact that there is a path before you now. Shake off the ‘whys’ and ‘what if‘s’, and rid yourself of confusion. Whatever was – is in the past. Whatever is – is what’s important. The past is a brief reflection. The future is yet to be realized. Today is here.
Walk your path one step at a time – with courage, faith, and determination. Keep your head up and cast your dreams to the stars. Soon your steps will become firm and your footing will be solid again. A path that you never imagined will become the most comfortable direction you could have ever hoped to follow.
Keep your belief in yourself and walk into your new journey. You will find it magnificent, spectacular, and beyond your wildest imaginings.” Vicki Silvers
Trust in yourself, your path, and your God. So many times we are thinking about the past or worrying about the future and we miss the present which is God’s gift to us

My reflection today:
“Do you ever look up to see the stars at night? Have you tried to count them all or imagine their number, feeling small and insignificant and overwhelmed at the sight?
Do you ever try to picture the hand that put each star in its place, that knows their number, and – most importantly – knows that you are looking up to see the vastness of His universe?
God loves you more than all the stars in heaven. There’s an endless amount of love that He is always sending you, and His love is there to cover every moment of your life.” – Barbara J. Hall
We cannot imagine how much God loves each one of us. Let us stop and thank God for the many gifts given to each one of us.
Our God is a God of love.?

My reflection today:
“Never allow anyone to discourage you from following your dreams. Surround yourself with encouraging and helpful people – optimists will get you excited about your dreams and goals.
Surround yourself with supportive people – the ones who tell you that giving up is crazy because you are so good at what you do.
You cannot waste the passion and talent you have been blessed with. Don’t allow the negative people to bring you down… let the positive ones lift you up.” – April Aragam
In this world we need to surround ourselves with people who are positive. There is so much negativity in our world and I blame our media. I was at a communications workshop and the person said, “If it doesn’t bleed it doesn’t lead.” So many of the news shows do not share the news, they share what they want you to think. Surround yourself with positivity and you will feel so much better.

My reflection today is from Give Us This Day:
“My children are light sleepers, so when they fall asleep on me in the rocking chair, it can be a real challenge to get them into their crib without waking them up. Over time I’ve learned the delicate art of pressing them close during the transfer. That way, even if the chair and the door (and my knees!) all creak in unison, the stirring child quickly softens back to sleep as soon as I gently tighten my embrace.
I’ve often found that God holds us with the same closeness during the difficult transitions of our lives. And unexpected people often emerge to lead us through the darkness. We see this when Christ met Saul, held him close, and led him to Ananias. Previously fearful of Saul’s murderous threats, Ananias lays his hands upon him, heals him, feeds him, even watches as he takes his first wobbly steps as a newly baptized Christian.” – Michael J. Sanem
I love this image of God holding us close to him during difficult times in our lives. Actually God holds us all the time but we feel the need of it more during difficult times. Let us pause and thank God for being present in our lives every day!

My reflection today:
“When you dream, believe in your ability to fulfill your wishes. Believe – have faith – and you will exceed your own expectations.
When you work, treat each task as a gift and a chance to demonstrate your strengths. Believe – have faith – and each duty will bring a sense of purpose.
When you regret some past mistake or failure, don’t allow pessimism to influence you. Believe – have faith –
and know that your past is gone.
When you hurt and no one seems to understand, reach into your heart and be your own comfort. You have the strength within. Believe – have faith – and your pain will pass into yesterday.
When you love, love with all your heart and soul. Give without limit or expectation. Believe – have faith – and love will inspire your entire life.
Believe – have faith – and remember that you are God‘s child… and whatever He designs is perfect.” – Regina Hill

My reflection today:
“This life is yours, Take the power
to choose what you want to do and do it well
Take the power to love what you want in life and love it honestly
Take the power to walk in the forest and be a part of nature
Take the power
to control your own life
No one else can do it for you
Take the power to make your life healthy exciting worthwhile and very happy” – Susan Polis Schutz
God is calling each one of us to take the power to choose life every day.

April 20, 2021

My reflection today:
“Don’t just have minutes in the day, have moments in time. Balance out any bad with the good you can provide. Know that you are capable of amazing results. Surprise yourself by discovering new strength inside.
Add a meaningful page to the diary of each day. Do you things no one else would even dream of. There is no greater gift than the kind of inner beauty you possess. Do the things you do… With love.
Walk along the pathways that enrich your happiness taking care of the ‘little things’ is a big necessity. Don’t be afraid of testing your courage. Life is short, but it’s long enough to have excitement and serenity.
Don’t let the important things go unsaid. Do the things that brighten your life and help you on your way. Live life to the fullest; make each day count.” – Colin McCarty
Let us take time each day to staff and reflect and the many gifts that God gives us.?

April 19, 2021

My reflection today:
“God gave us the seasons – each with its own beauty and reason, each meant to bring us a blessing, a joy, and a feeling of love. God gave us the sunshine, the rain, and the beauty and freedom of nature to teach us the wisdom of gentle acceptance.
God gave us miracles in our hearts and lives, little things that happened to remind us we’re alive.
God gave us the ability to face each new day with courage, wisdom, and a smile from knowing that whatever sorrow or pain we may face, he abides with us securely in our hearts.
Most of all, God gave us one another to teach us about love and guide us through this world, always available to help us forward toward a greater understanding and a greater sharing and giving of love. “Regina Hill
God gave us one another. Unfortunately today there are too many people that are trying to cause more problems. I was appalled when I saw a congresswoman, breaking curfew and inciting people. She said, “We’ve got to get more confrontational.” She is from California and she’s stirring people up in Minneapolis. Where are people like Dr. Martin Luther King and Representative John Lewis? Let us work for peace and justice for one another in a non-violent way.?
