In coordination with the Hartford Archdiocese, we are pleased to announce Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish has established a Vocation Ministry and we need volunteers to help our ministry take hold. What is a vocation?

A vocation is God’s invitation to love and serve him and his Church in a particular state or way of life, leading to holiness. A vocation can be, marriage and family, consecrated religious, nun, deacons or brothers, and priestly life. Sadly 72% of people polled said that marriage is unnecessary. The total number of Nuns dropped 76% in the past 50 years. Young men entering the priesthood has dropped 60% in the last 50 years, leaving 3,500 parishes without a priest. We have a crisis, and our very survival is at stake. We can change this disturbing trend in the same way other diocese around the country have; this is where you come in.
