My reflection today:
“If you want to be healthy morally, mentally, and physically, just let go.
Let go of the little annoyances of every day life, the irritations and the petty vexations that cross your path daily.
Don’t take them up, nurse them, pet them, and brood over them. They are not worthwhile. Let them go!
Learn to let go. As you value health of body and peace of mind, let go – just simply let go!” Author unknown
Let go! It’s easier said than done. today let us take the time to let go of any worries or anything that is bothering us. Let go and let God!

My reflection today:
“When you are tired and discouraged from fruitless efforts… God knows how hard you have tried. When you’ve cried so long and your heart is in anguish… God has counted your tears. If you feel that your life is on hold and time has passed you by… God is waiting with you. When you’re lonely and your friends are too busy even for a phone call… God is by your side. When you think you’ve tried everything and don’t know where to turn… God has a solution. When nothing makes sense and you are confused or frustrated… God has the answer. If suddenly your outlook is brighter and you find traces of hope… God has whispered to you. When things are going well and you have much to be thankful for… God has blessed you. When something joyful happens and you are filled with awe… God has smiled on you. When you have a purpose to fulfill and a dream to follow… God has opened your eyes and called you by name. Remember that wherever you are or whatever you are facing…God knows.” Kelly D. Williams
All I need to say is Amen! ?

My reflection today is from Living Faith:
But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. Luke 1:29
“Mary was ‘greatly troubled.’ Not just ‘concerned’ or ‘worried,’ but deeply disturbed. With Gabriel’s invitation, her interior world experienced an anxious tidal wave of disruption. Did this mean that Mary lacked faith? Not so. She responded mentally and emotionally as any startled and confused human being would do. Mary had to have time to ‘ponder’ as Luke tells us. She undoubtably could not think of anything else, tossing the ‘impossible possible’ around inside of her, even questioning out loud, ‘How can this be?” Mary’s faith was able to stand up stronger than her fear after going through and beyond questions and hesitations. Her generous love and trust in God toppled concerns for how dramatically life would change.
What a gift we have in Mary’s faith filled ‘yes.’ How much we can learn from her when the Spirit stirs asking us to do the ‘impossible possible’ for the good of another.” Sr. Joyce Rupp, O.S.M.
Today is the feast of the Annunciation of the Lord. What if Mary said, ‘No!’ instead of ‘How can this be?’ Mary gave us the perfect example of leaping out in faith. When we are faced with challenges in our lives that we cannot understand or we feel we can’t deal with: let us turn to Mary and ask her to help us through our difficult times.
We have a generous God who is announcing good news to us all the time. If we listen and look around more attentively, then we might receive angels in our midst, in the guise of people God sends our way to encourage, inspire, or challenge us. And if we are just open enough, we too might serve as a messenger of consolation for others.?

My reflection today:
“There are times in life when things are not perfect when problems seem to surround you. As you look for a way through them, it’s important to keep a positive attitude about your life and where you are going. When you are going through a difficult time, you may wonder if you’re making the right choices. You may wonder about how things will turn out if you take a different road. But you are a strong and motivated individual who will rise to meet the challenges that face you. You will get through the difficult times.” – Beverly A. Chisley
In difficult times, each one of us is called to keep a positive attitude.
As I have said in other reflections, the only person responsible for our happiness is ourself. I believe, God gives us the grace to get through each day. Each one of us chooses how to live out our life.

My reflection today:
“If we knew how much the habit of being thankful might do for us, I am sure we would take time out every day to count up a few of our blessings. When the spirit of thankfulness takes its place in our consciousness, we radiate life from the very center of our being to the world about us.” Author unknown
Gratitude is very important in our life. I remember when I was growing up, I had a friend that was visiting for dinner.
When my mom served the food I said, “Thank you” My friend said, “ Why are you saying thank you, it’s your mother.” that always stuck with me I could not believe her response. I have to say for the most part, I try to thank people and be grateful for all that is done for me.?

My reflection today:
“When you’re hurt and confused and things are hard to accept or understand, give them to God and He will give you peace and faith.
When you’ve been treated rudely or unfairly and hatred and anger rule your soul, talk to God about it and He will give you a forgiving, calm spirit
When you’re overwhelmed with too much to do and stressed out because of lack of time, let God guide you and He will show you where your priorities should be.
When you’re feeling down and discouraged and you aren’t living up to your own dreams and expectations, let God be your partner and He will give you power and strength.
When things get tough and you want to give up, don’t… and God won’t either.”- Barbara Cage
What a beautiful reflection God never gives up and neither should we. Let us take the time to ask God to help us get through whatever we are going through at this time. God is always present with us.?

My reflection today:

“Dream under a night sky; dance to the light of your own music. Do the things that make your heart sing. Be your own biggest fan. Bask in the glow of your potential. Cherish yourself. Today and every day, take some ‘me time’ just for you… because you’re more special than you know.
Celebrate the stars shining in you. Every dawn is a new beginning filled with adventure. Chart your own journey. See yourself as a beautiful person – because you are. Keep your hope shining bright. There are so many things that make you special. With every step you take, love walks along with you. Have faith in your own wonderful self; you really can do anything you set your mind to.
Chase joy. Run after happiness. The journey you take from here will be as beautiful as you make it. Like morning sunshine, let love comes softly to you. Linger under some moonlight. Let it warm you from the inside out. See yourself for the wonderful person you are.
Open your own heart, and let these thoughts bless you today and always.” – Linda E. Knight
There are some very beautiful images in this reflection. Chase joy.
Run after happiness. have faith in your own wonderful self. God tells us that we are beautiful and wonderfully mad

My reflection today is from Living Faith:
“We commemorate Saint Patrick, a fifth century bishop and former slave, famous for driving snakes out of Ireland. I’ve never been to Ireland, plus I live where there are no dangerous snakes, so his deed didn’t hold much meaning for me. Until I realized that snakes are also an image for the unpleasant forces that can slither and slide into human existence. Gossip, for instance, poisons relationships and squeezes the life out of families and communities. What might be afflicting us now?
Saint Patrick is beloved because he offered God‘s mercy to free people from what afflicted them, bringing God‘s comfort and the reassurance that God never forgets them, even when they forsake him. Let’s rejoice in praying with Saint Patrick.
Let us arise today through God‘s strength to pilot us, God‘s word to speak for us.” – Mary Marrocco
Patrick’s 30 years as a wandering bishop are the stuff of legend. He is justly honored as the patron of Ireland. But it is well to remember that Patrick was the victim of Irish injustice (he was a slave) before he became the symbol of Irish pride. His spiritual conquest of Ireland followed the prior victory of love over the anger and bitterness in his own heart. ☘️

My reflection today:
“ Joy is being in love and sleeping in the sunshine and running down a mountain path with the swiftness of a deer in the spring time. Joy expands your heart and open your soul. Joy is snowflakes and slipping on the ice and getting up so you can sleep all over again and never even feeling the cold. Living in joy doesn’t mean putting on a happy face. It means the joy is at the core of who you are and always have been.
Joy is strong enough to carry you through the darkness and the pain into a place where joy still resides in ultimate measure.” – Rachel Snyder
God wants us to be joyful. Joy is at the core of our being. What a beautiful image… running down a mountain path with the swiftness of a deer in the spring time
