My reflection:
“There is hardly ever a complete silence in our soul. God is whispering to us wellnigh incessantly. Whenever the sounds of the world die out in the soul, or Saint cloud, then we hear these whispering’s of God. He is always whispering to us, only we do not always here, because of the noise, hurry, and distraction which life causes as it rushes on.”Frederick William Faber

My reflection:
“Set an intention. What do you want to accomplish in the weeks and months and years ahead? Write your intention down and tape it to a mirror where you’ll see it every day. Use it as a loving reminder of where you’re headed
And why you are going in that direction.
And then, when you see the reflection of a wonderful person smiling back at you, you also see who you’re making happy as the goal gets closer and closer to being met.” Douglas Pagels

My reflection:
If I had my life to live over :
I’d dare to make more mistakes next time. I’d relax, I would limber up. I would be sillier than I have been this trip. I would take fewer things seriously. I would take more chances. I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers. I would eat more ice cream and less beans. I would perhaps have more actual troubles, but I’d have fewer imaginary ones.
You see, I am one of those people who live sensibly insanely, our after hour, day after day. Oh, I’ve had my moments, and if I had to do over again, I’d have more of them…
In fact, I try to have nothing else. Just moments, one after another, instead of living so many years ahead of each day. I’ve been one of those persons who never goes anywhere without a semi amateur, a hot water bottle, a raincoat and a parachute. If I had to do again I would travel lighter than I have.
If I had my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall. I will go to more dances. I would ride more merry go rounds. I will pick more daisies.” Author Unknown
This does give me something to ponder about….I am so glad that I had lunch with my some of my classmates from Mercy. We graduated in 1967 and still have fun getting together.

My reflection:
Prayer is… Like quietly opening a door and slipping into the very presence of God. They are, in the stillness, to listen for his voice, perhaps in petition or only to listen, it matters not. Just to be there in His presence is prayer.”

My reflection:
“I pray that your faith will always stay strong and bravely take you through every crisis, that hope will always blaze inside you – even when life seems bleakest and that peace will fill your mind, heart, and spirit with every breath you take.
I pray that love will hold you close with each new day and remind you that you are never alone. I pray that you I will always come your way, so that you will experience life with delight. I pray that your kindness is will shine in the smiles of the people whose lives you’ve touched.
I pray that your confidence will always be reborn whenever you take a nasty fall-and that you’ll stand tall when others don’t believe in your dreams, passions and beliefs.
I pray that healing will come to you completely when you are injured – physically or emotionally – and that family and friends who love and support you will help you recover much sooner.
I pray that forgiveness will heal your heart when others cause you distress, that you’ll know you are worthy of happiness and success, and that you’ll be blessed with a sunny mind, heart, and attitude. I pray you will always keep close to your goals and stay focused on reaching for the stars you choose. And I pray you know I will always love you”

This sounds like it could be written to each one of us from God. ?

My reflection:
“You are such a deserving person, much more so than you give yourself credit for being. There are many, many things you do for everyone else. So please, do this one thing for yourself: the next time you picture your future, take the time to brush up on your washing skills and imagine what a joyful fulfilling tomorrow looks like… for you.
Don’t just color in a paint by numbers image of what you’re expected to be. Come up with a picture that truly reflects your down to the core desires and your most hope for goals. Make it a masterpiece that shows you with a big smile on your face as you take steps on the path that leads in the direction of your dreams. And use that beautiful image to inspire you to make your life more of what you want it to be.
Do it because this is exactly what you would want for someone else. And do it because you deserve the same considerate, wonderful wish… for yourself.”

My reflection:
When I pray, which I do many times a day, I pray for a lot of things. I ask for health and happiness for my friends and for their children. This is okay to do, to ask God to help them have a sense of peace and for them to feel the love of God. I pray for our leaders to act in the common good, or at least the common slightly better. I pray that aid and comfort be rushed to people after catastrophes, natural and man-made. It is also okay to ask that my cat have an easy death. Some of my friends kids are broken and the kids parents are living in that, and other friends marriages are broken, and every family I love has serious problems involving someone’s house or finances. But we can be big in prayer, and trust that God won’t mind if we pray about the cat.” Anne Lamott

My reflection:
“Seek God’s wisdom and guidance in everything you do or say – not just in times of trouble or sorrow.
God hears your voice in the shadows of life and will give you peace, but God is also found in the moments of joy and happiness that can fill your heart and make you smile.
No matter what is happening talk to God. Share what’s in your heart or ask to be shown the way. Pray for strength of purpose and the willingness to surrender. Whether your simple prayer is a thank you or a cry for help, it is heard, and no whisper is ever turned aside.
Just keep the conversation going. God will always listen that is his promise and that is our comfort. ” Linda Hersey
