Today’s reflection comes from our Mercy Prayer Book:
“ Jesus, your mother showed herself to the children at Fatima in order to call us to conversion. Mindful of her message, we pray for wisdom and courage that we may hear the prompting of your spirit and accept conversion to your will. We ask you to grant this prayer that we may respond to your mother’s call. Amen”
Today is the feast of our Lady of Fatima.
Our Lady of Fatima is very special to me because that was my parish growing up. When our church was consecrated I was in the second grade and the First Communion class processed around the church and were part of the ceremony. I have so many fond memories from my parish community growing up.
Thank you God for gifting me with such a nurturing environment during my youth.
