My reflection:
“You have a chance to be happy as any one person has ever been. You have an opportunity to be as proud as anyone you’ve ever known. You have the potential to make a very special dream come true.
And all you have to do… is recognize the possibilities, the power, and the wonder of… today.” Douglas Pagels

My reflection:
Greatest gifts of strong people:
“Strong people are true to themselves. They believe in their dreams and their purpose. They realize that they have the gift of emotional sense and intuition to create a vision for their lives.
They embrace the awesomeness of nature and know they are a part of something big. They know why they’re here and what they’re called to do.
They know they have a spirit, mind, and body, and they take responsibility for all three. They renew their minds with spiritual truths. They think positive thoughts, exercise, and maintain a healthy diet.
They appreciate people‘s differences, respect everyone’s unique qualities, and accept people for who they are.
They treat others the way they wish to be treated. They are generous with their kind words and quick to forgive. They harbor no resentments and are sensitive to the harsh realities of the world.” Donna Fargo

My reflection:
“I was taught by a great teacher at one time that whenever you’re having a problem, whenever you’re struggling with anything in your life, whenever your mind is filled with struggles of your life, the way to make that problem go away, in that instant, is to think of God, rather than the problem that you’re focused on.”
Wayne Dyer
God is always with us even in difficult times.?

My reflection is from Living Faith:
… they called the Church together and reported what God had done with them… Acts 14:27
“In the church parking lot one Sunday, I overheard a child arguing with his parents. ‘I don’t want to go to church,’ he wailed. ‘It’s boring.’ I wondered if the father would drag the child kicking and screaming into church. The father simply said, ‘I’m going in to say thank you. God has given us so many wonderful things that aren’t boring,’ and he began to list them. The child soon smiled, took his father‘s hand, and together they walked into the church. That lesson reminded me that we are the church, called together to tell each other – by our presence – what God has been doing with us in our lives and how grateful we are to be loved by God. we call this Eucharist(‘thanksgiving’).
From beginning to end, the mass is a prayer of thanksgiving.” Deborah A. Meister
I have heard many people say they don’t go to church because it’s boring. I thought that the response of the father was very profound. How true ….it is a time for us to thank God for all the gifts we have been given.?

My reflection is from Living Faith
The Advocate, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name – he will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you. John 14:26
“The presence of the Holy Spirit has become increasingly personal to me. I am learning to sense when I am living, loving and working in alignment with the Holy Spirit or attempting to go on my own. The aligned way feels like empowerment, clarity and confidence. The other way feels scattered uncertain and draining.
Before I work each morning, I light a candle on my desk as a symbol of my quiet invitation and invocation of the Holy Spirit. I asked the Spirit to fill me, to be present in every conversation and connection with my clients, in words I speak or write. In this way, I become a conduit for a power greater than myself. At days end, I blow out the candle, giving thanks for the ability to use my gifts in higher service. And I ask the Holy Spirit to take anything from me that is not mine to carry, leaving all outcomes in God’s hands.” Kristin Armstrong
Each time before I do the reflection or send a meme to friends, I ask the Holy Spirit for guidance.?

My reflection:
“Rather than wondering about or questioning the direction your life has taken, accept the fact that there is a path before you now. Shake off the ‘whys’ and ‘what ifs,’ and rid yourself of confusion. Whatever was – is in the past. Whatever is – is what’s important. The past is a brief reflection. The future is yet to be realized. Today is here.
Walk your path one step at a time-with courage, faith, and determination. Keep your head up and cast your dreams to the stars. Soon your steps will become firm and your footing will be solid again. A path that you never imagined will become the most comfortable direction you could have ever hoped to follow.
Keep your belief in yourself and walk into your new journey. You will find it magnificent, spectacular, and beyond your wildest imaginings.” Vicki Silvers

“Determine your own worth by yourself, and do not be dependent on another’s judgment of you. (Debbi Oehman)
Look into your heart, search your dreams, and be honest about what you really want; then do whatever it takes to get it. Live like you mean it. Believe you can… and you will! (Barbara Cage)
Do something totally out of character once in a while – you might discover something new about yourself.
It matters what you think. Speak up. Voice your opinions. Share your ideas.
Life is an adventure, dare it. (Mother Teresa)”
God gives us the gifts each day to live our lives to the fullest.?

My reflection:
“This life is yours
Take the power
to choose what you want to do
and do it well
Take the power
to love what you want in life
and love it honestly
Take the power
to walk in the forest
and be a part of nature
Take the power
to control your own life
No one else can do it for you
Take the power
to make your life
healthy
exciting
worthwhile
and very happy” Susan Polis Schutz

My reflection:
“You’ve got your life… If you’re not happy, satisfied, encouraged, and hopeful, you’re cheating yourself. You can talk and talk to yourself about what you need to do to honor your life, but if you don’t turn those thoughts into actions, you’re playing games and giving up to whatever comes to mind.
You’ve got the power to make choices… Your life is the manifestation of the choices you make each moment and each day when you use this awesome gift to your best advantage, there is nothing you can’t do.” Donna Fargo
God gave us free well so we can make choices every day. ?

May 9, 2022

My reflection:
“When you have something particularly challenging to deal with, try to remind yourself…
You’ve got this moment…You can choose to be happy or unhappy. You can choose what you think, what you say, and how you feel. You can choose to be hopeful or hopeless, to respond angrily or cheerfully, to be bored or interested.
You’ve got this day… no matter what the weather is like-it’s just weather. You can choose what kind of day it will be- beautiful or awful or somewhere in between. You can choose what you will do and what you want – to give up or give in or go on. You have a choice to do something or nothing, to start now or later. You can choose your attitude about what you’re facing.” Donna Fargo
God has given us the ability to choose how we want to live our life.?
