My reflection:
“Prayer is a way that our hearts can communicate in faith, a way that we can ask questions and receive answers, a way that we can openly express our feelings and concerns.
Prayer is a wonderful source of strength for a person, and prayers can become even stronger when we turn to each other for support in prayer. Lean on prayer to help you through difficult times and know with certainty what the power of prayer can do.”
Jesus reminds us how important prayer is in our lives. It is a way to keep our friendship alive.?

My reflection:
“May the days be good to you: comforting more often than crazy and giving more often then taking.
May the passing seasons make sure that any heartaches are replaced with a million smiles and that any hard journeys eventually turn into nice, easy miles that take you everywhere you want to go.” Douglas

My reflection:
“Perfectionism is not a quest for the best. It is a pursuit of the worst in ourselves, the part that tells us that nothing we do will ever be good enough-that we should try again. (Julia Camron)
Superwoman or Superman is a fictional character; she or he does not actually exist.
Preserving your sanity is more important than meeting a deadline.
You are limited by the number of things you can do at once.
You can – and will – check off every item on your to do list in time.”
God invites us on a wonderful journey called life. Sometimes there are ups and sometimes there are downs but God is always present.?

My reflection:
“When making decisions, listen to your logical mind, but don’t leave behind the wisdom of your instincts and the messages from your heart. Listen to all of them, and do what’s right for you. Let your faith be a guiding light and daily comfort, and you will always feel blessed.
Let these words be your guide to a positive life. Keep them in your mind, heart, and spirit. Use them, and the guiding principles you discover on your own, to create for yourself the future you choose. “Jaclyn Schiff

My reflection:
“Be patient and persistent, and you won’t ever feel the need to quit. Seek help when you need it, and you’ll never struggle alone.
Keep your energy, passion and excitement for life and you’ll never be bored or discontented. Stay focused on your goals and not on who others want you to be or what they want you to achieve.” Jacqueline Schiff

My reflection is from Living Faith:
Pour out your heart like water in the presence of the Lord. Lamentations 2:19
“Mothering has been my most challenging and rewarding vocation. What I share as a mother with my four children simply cannot be explained by DNA or human nature. The spiritual connection defines and challenges me even now, in my grandmothering years.
I am comforted and strengthened by Mother Mary. Like her, I held a newborn in my arms and pondered her future. I taught my child to pray and see God in the world. I delighted in her humor and corrected her behavior. I watched her grow in stature and in wisdom. And, also like Mary I lost her in a large crowd. thankfully, rather than three days later, I found her after 15 frantic and frightful minutes.
She who not only ‘kept all these things in her heart,’ also poured out prayerfully the contents of her heart in the presence of the Lord. When life‘s difficult moments threatened to steal my peace of heart, I turn to Mother Mary for comfort, example and advice. Maria Ruiz Scaperlanda

My reflection is from the Mercy Prayer Book:
“Your love is beyond our understanding, O Christ. You hold us in loving regard and cherish our tears. You are like a mother who tenderly cradles her child against the pain and suffering of life. May your love poured out so freely upon us flow through us to all in need of mercy. Fill our hearts with your great love. Amen.

My reflection is from Living Faith:
He had the entire contents of the book of the covenant that had been found in the temple of the Lord, read out to them… the King made a covenant before the Lord that they would follow him…2 Kings 23:2–3
“King Josiah’s reign began at age 8 after his father’s assassination. At that time, many in Judah had forgotten and forsaken their covenant with God. Paganism was widespread. As a young man, Josiah sponsored repairs to the temple, during which time a book of the Law was found and shared with him. It was a turning point for the king. Josiah’s encounter with the Word of God led to repentance – ‘he tore his garments’ (verse 22:11.) knowing his kingdom had straight from the law, he renewed the covenant and led Judas spiritual renewal – restoring the Passover feast and more – while crushing idle worship and other abominations. Of Josiah it is said, ‘Before him there had been no king who turned to the Lord as he did, with his whole heart… nor did any king like him arise after him’ (23:25).

It is too bad that we don’t have leaders like that today.?

My reflection:
“The world will not fall apart
or leave you behind
if you allow yourself a few moments of quiet.
There is no need for stress
and struggle.
Everything that is meant to be
will be –
with or without your help.
So relax,
find your balance,
and remember…
breathe.” Lisa Butler
Slow down, let go, and discover your inner joy.?
