My reflection:

“When you say to yourself, ‘I am going to have a pleasant visit or a pleasant journey, ‘you are literally sending elements and forces ahead of your body that will arrange things to make your visit or journey pleasant. When before the visit or the journey or the shopping trip you are in a bad humor, or fearful or apprehensive of something unpleasant, you are sending unseen agencies ahead of you, which will make some kind of unpleasantness. Our thoughts, or in other words, our state of mind, is ever at work ‘fixing up’ things good or bad in advance.”Prentice Mulford

My reflection:
“Every morning, upon awakening, each of us is given a gift… A gift of 24 hours, 1440 minutes, and more than 86000 seconds! Before jumping up to begin your rush to get out the door… take just one of those precious moments to think about how you will spend the rest of your day.
24 hours a day, seven days a week, 52 weeks a year… today, tomorrow, or next week… it’s always the right time to make a change.“ The Staff at Speaking of Women’s Health
God gives us all that time as a gift, let us take at least a few minutes each day to thank God for the many gifts given to each one of us.?

My reflection:
“You can count your blessings. You can be inspired to climb your ladders and have some nice, long talks with your wishing stars. You can be strong and patient. You can be gentle and wise.
And you can believe in happy endings. Because you are the author of the story of your life.” Douglas Pagels

My reflection:
“You can have hope. Because it works wonders for those who have it. You can be optimistic. Because people who expect things to turn out for the best off and set the stage to receive a beautiful result.
You can put things in perspective. Because somethings are important, and others are definitely not.
You can remember that beyond the clouds, the sun is still shining. You can meet each challenge and give it all you’ve got.” Douglas Pagels
Let us remember that through it all God is always with us

My reflection:
“The morning offers a chance to plot out the day in advance, to bring before God every scheduled appointment and phone call as well as to ask God to keep me mindful of any sacred interruptions. None of us knows what any day will bring, of course, and I find it helps to request in advance a sensitivity to whatever might transpire. I need to tune in to God‘s work behind the scenes. As my pastor in Chicago used to pray, ‘ God, show me what you were doing today and how I can be a part of it.’ Amazingly, when I preview my day in prayer, priorities will tend to rearrange themselves during the course of the day.” Philip Yancey
Let us take each moment in the morning just to ask God to guide us through our day.?

My reflection
“It isn’t always easy to make changes, but there’s no better advice than this: just do your best. Make sure you stay strong enough to move ahead, because there are some wonderful rewards waiting for you.
It won’t all make sense right away, but I promise you: over the course of time, answers will come, decisions will prove to be the right ones, and the path will be easier to see.”
Douglas Pagels

My reflection:
“Pull away from distractions-the phone, the computer, the TV, the constant noise of modern life – and find a way to separate yourself so you can be and feel ‘shut in with God.’ It can be a challenge when you work away from home for long hours or are sharing your house from dawn to dusk with a bunch of loud and energetic children, but make it a priority. Your car on lunch break, a quiet corner in the office, a closet in between meals or feedings or nap times, or simply the quiet of your heart if that’s all you can muster. But find solitude and prayer.” Bonnie McKernan
It is not always easy to find quiet time but when we do it certainly pays off. God rewards us constantly!?

My reflection:
“The more we pray, the more we want to pray. To do this, you need to build it into the rhythm of your day any way you can: set alarms, leave notes, put it in your day planner. Prayer is a practice that requires discipline and perseverance, and we should own the cost. Prayer is the greatest act of our day, and we must fight for it.” Bonnie McKernan
God calls us to pray unceasingly.?

My reflection:
“Draw strength from the good things in your life – from the simplest to the greatest. Whether it’s a pretty little flower, a kind word from a friend, a walk in your favorite place, or a beautiful sunset-draw strength from anything good that touches your heart or your day.
Draw strength from those who love you-those who make your life richer by being a part of your day; those will be there for you not only on sunny days but also on cloudy ones, and who hold you in the storms of life.
Have faith in yourself. Draw strength from your faith. And know in your heart that you have the strength to make it through anything.”
Nancye Sims
God gives us strength every day.?
