My reflection today:
“As your traverse life’s diverse pathways, you will encounter many obstacles, some good and some bad. All are learning experiences.
Life is simply a journey and we all start at the beginning. Embrace everything life has to offer; you never know when the journey will end.
For some their time spent on enlightenment is short, for others it’s long, but it is up to each of us to work out our own direction.
No one knows what is right for another-it is hard enough to know what is right for ourselves. Try to understand others, or at least make all allowances for them. Their journeys may be more arduous than yours.
There are no failures and no success is, only lessons learned.” Gary Seymour

My reflection today:
“Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind. To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet. To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true. To think only of the best to work only for the best, and to expect only the best. To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile… To be too large for worry, to noble for anger, too strong for fear, and to happy to permit the presence of trouble.” Christian D. Larson
This is certainly an ideal. With God’s help we can get accomplish most of the wonderful thoughts.

My reflection today is from Living Faith:
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalm 23:1
“That line from Psalm 23 sounds comforting, but I sometimes wonder if I really believe it. Do I truly trust that I want for nothing if God is guiding my life as carefully as a shepherd tends the flock? And some days, yes, when everything goes smoothly and my day feels like a happy sailboat on the lake of life. But then, there are times when I do not even consider for a moment that I have a divine shepherd. I’m too busy wanting things – not particularly material items. Most of what I want has to do with getting life to go the way I think it ought to go. When it doesn’t proceed accordingly, I feel disappointed and out of sorts. This tells me I have not yet fully accepted this shepherding of God. Abiding faith is about believing every day, no matter what happens, that God has my back, leading and guiding me even when things don’t turn out to my satisfaction.” Sr. Joyce Rupp, O.S.M
Lord, teach me to trust you each day and not second-guess.?

My reflection today:
“Know that you can reach deep inside and find everything you need to get through each moment that lies ahead.
When you talk to those who matter most, open the door to your heart. The wider it is, the easier it will be for things like compassion and understanding to come inside. And it just naturally follows…the more wonderful visitors you have, the more your life will shine.
Have simple pleasures in this complex world. Be a joyous spirit and a sensitive soul. Take those long walks that would love to be taken. Explore those sunlit paths that would love to oblige. Don’t just have minutes in the day; have moments in time.” Douglas Pagles
Going deep inside where our God is present is all that we need to go on in life. I never thought about having moments in time rather than minutes in a day. Powerful!?

My reflection today:
“Look in the mirror and smile… and see an amazing person looking back at you. You really are someone special, and your presence is a present to the world around you.
When you’re counting your blessings, he sure to include the privilege of having a new sunrise every morning and a brand-new beginning every day.
Don’t ever give up on your hopes and dreams. Your happiness is depending on you to stay strong.” Douglas Pagels
So many times we take for granted that God created us in his image.
Looking in the mirror reminds us of how special we are instead of finding faults with ourselves. As the old saying goes, “God doesn’t make
junk.”?

My reflection today comes from Living Faith:
I am concerned about you and about the way you are being treated in Egypt. Exodus 3:16
“When we are feeling low, frightened or discouraged, is there any sweeter balm than a friend or a spouse expressing concern and a willingness to comfort us? Just the experience of concern can be enough to ease our pain. What we don’t always realize is that when someone reaches out to us, it may be the literal answer to our prayer.
The Lord heard the sufferings of his people enslaved in Egypt. His emissary was Moses, sent to tell the people that the Lord cared about them and how they were being treated. Their prayers had been heard. True to his covenant with his chosen people, God would send Moses to lead his people to ‘a land flowing with milk and honey.”
Often, the Lords emissary in our own lives is that concerned friend who reaches out. Sometimes it is us who are asked to reach out to others.
Jesus, help me to be generous when I am called to ease someone else’s burdens.”  – Greg Erlandson
This reflection is so true. I have seen it throughout my life. Many times God reaches out to us and we are not even aware that it is God responding to our prayer or someone else’s prayer for us.?

My reflection today:
“Meet each challenge with strength and courage. Listen to your heart, find wisdom to take the right path, and show your strength and courage by being patient. Stand up for what you believe in, say “no” to that which is not compatible with your values, and show your strength and courage by being true to yourself.
Open new doors for yourself even when you seem too tired to go on. Find the energy to see a new dawn –
a new point of view – and create a new direction where none seems possible. Show your strength and courage by being optimistic.” Bonnie St. John
Standing up for your values seems to be missing in our society today. Growing up when I was young was much easier than it is today. Our society fostered Christian values. Let us pray for that new dawn and that we may show strength and optimism.?

My reflection today:
“Knowing in your heart that you are in charge of your destiny can give you the power to overcome obstacles. It’s an attitude that carries you through the tough times and that looks at the positives and defies the negatives.” Barbara Cage

2 My reflection today:
“To be in the moment means to sit in reflection, in silence, allowing for thoughts and emotions to flow freely. It means to take a breather from your every day schedule to enjoy the simple things of life.
To be in the moment means not letting life pass you by. It allows you to experience each moment for what it is and then let it go like a feather floating in the wind.
To be in the moment allows us to see the many blessings we have – the wonderful gifts that we so quickly look past in our day-to-day lives. It means truly and entirely living.” Lamisha Serf
Now that things are getting back to “normal”, we need to take time to stop each day and be in touch with our God. It is so easy to get back into racing around. I hope that during this pandemic we learned to stop, reflect, and be grateful for the quiet times.?

My reflection today:
“Remember that a wish can take you anywhere – and half the fun is reaching for a star.
Your dreams were made to soar; let your spirit dance in every waking moment. Every day comes bearing gifts; hold each promise in your hands. Within you is your very own universe. A bit of stardust is blowing your way – A bit of light and a bit of wonder. Follow your leaning; listen to the whispers of your soul.” Linda E. Knight
God is present in that whispering in your soul. Live life to the fullest. Let God‘s love guide you each day of your life.?
