My reflection:
“Be thankful and look to every new day with positive hope.
Take time to pull yourself away from all the noise and just look around you. Take inventory. Appreciate those who have enhanced the quality of your life, and remember that they have been a gift to you. Also remember that you’re a gift to them, too.
Be grateful for the choices you’ve made, both good and bad. Accept your mistakes; you can’t change them anyway. Apply what you’ve learned and go on. Use these lessons to help you with your other decisions in life. Appreciate yourself and your own uniqueness.
Go outside and look at the sky. Soak in the atmosphere. Enjoy the colors of the landscape. Feel the textures of every place you are that you’re thankful for. Smile at the world. Don’t allow any negative feelings to creep into your consciousness. Feel the power of your own acceptance. Put a positive spin on every thought you have.
Make every day special. On it. Enjoy it. Bask in the glory of life. Appreciate the gift of your own life. “ Donna Fargo
I certainly needed this today! One of my closest friends, had a massive stroke on Thanksgiving. She had been doing so well. Even her doctor was surprised. Take each day as a gift because God has given it to us.

My reflection:

Opening prayer from Thanksgiving Mass:
God all-powerful, your gifts of love are countless and your goodness infinite; as we come before you on Thanksgiving day with gratitude for your kindness, open our hearts to have concern for every man, woman, and child, so that we may share your gifts and loving service. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen

My reflection:
“When life seems like a mountain that’s too hard to climb… you will find the strength to take just one more step.
When your journey seems just too hard to bear… you will find the courage to face one more day.
When you feel lost and you don’t know which way to turn… let your faith and trust lead the way. And when it’s hard to believe that things will ever get better… look inside your heart-and find hope.
Remember that every storm passes – and sunshine and brighter days always follow the rain.” Jason Blume
God is always present in our life even if we don’t feel God‘s presence.?

My reflection:
“Listen to your inner voice; it is the most important connection between your head and heart. Leave self-doubt behind; it serves only to make you hesitate. Never stop questioning, searching, and reaching; they are the only ways to stretch your mind and soul. No matter what you do in this life, remember it is never about the treasures you acquire; it’s about making certain it is life you treasure.”

My reflection:
“Always hold honor as a high virtue. Despite how the world may be, rise above.
Always speak the truth, because others will hold you in high esteem as a person who can be trusted.
Never lose faith in your fellow human beings, despite times when they may let you down.
Believe in hard work. No one will hand you the future you want. The ladder to success is steep, but take one step at a time and you’ll get to the top.
Always believe in yourself. Your happiness depends on no one else but you. If there is something that you are unhappy about, you must change it.
Always hold love close to you. When you make a commitment, cherish it for the rest of your life.” Sherrie L. Householder
God wants us to be positive and reach for the stars.?

My reflection:
“Hope is found in the way you look at life. It’s the path you’re drawn to follow. It’s in the plans you must arrange, the goals you want to reach, the dream that takes your breath away.
Hope is there when you see how things can be. It’s the spirit of one who won’t give up, the voice that says it can be done, and eagerness to make it happen.
Hope is the belief that anything is possible the emblem of one who believes that dreams can come true and the joyous attitude of going forward to reach every goal. Most especially, hope brings out the winner that lives in your heart.” Barbara J. Hall
With God all things are possible!?

My reflection:
“Acceptance means that you can find the serenity within to let go of the past with its mistakes and regrets, move into the future with a new perspective, and appreciate the opportunity to take a second chance.
Acceptance means that when difficult times come into your life, you’ll find security again and comfort to relieve any pain. You’ll find new dreams, fresh hopes, and forgiveness of the heart.
Acceptance does not mean that you will always be perfect. It simply means that you’ll always overcome imperfection.
Acceptance is the road to peace-letting go of the worst, holding onto the best, and finding the hope inside that continues throughout life.
Acceptance is the heart’s best defense, loves greatest asset, and the easiest way to keep believing in yourself and in others.” Regina Hill
God wants us to accept ourselves for who we are.?

My reflection:
“Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way your mind looks at what happens.
Circumstances and situation to color life, but you have been given the mind to choose what the color will be.” John Homer Miller

My reflection:
“Worry will distract you from the treasures ahead. Instead, keep love and happiness in your heart. Lift your spirits and stay alert to the gifts around you. Don’t waste your time wondering what others may think. You are the only one who has walked in your shoes. You are the most qualified to decide what path you will take. Fill your journey with love and harmony, joy and bliss. Look at the world through the eyes of a child, and carry your memories in a heart filled with love and peace.” Christina Curtis

My reflection:
“Sometimes, it seems as if the world around you is spinning out of control. Thankfully, the very things that can help you through times like these are the ones you have complete control over.
Faith… Hope… Heart…these are the things that keep you empowered, they can’t be taken from you, but you can use them to face adversity head on and rise triumphantly above it.
No matter what unfolds, remember that nothing has the power to pull you into a downward spiral. Instead, you can use any difficulty you encounter as a springboard to send you soaring among the stars.” Lynn Keachie
Let us remember that God is always with us and can help us rise above anything.?
