My reflection is from Living Faith:
Cry out at the top of your voice, Jerusalem, herald of good news! Isaiah 40:9
“Today is the Feast of Saint Nicholas.  it is the first of many days when my kids will stampede into our living room, and make a lot of noise as they plunge their hands into their stockings.
Remember the Grinch? He so hated NOISE! NOISE! NOISE!
Mr. Grinch, you and me both.
I am really, not a Scrooge. What’s more, today’s Scripture reminds all weary parents of candy cane-hyped-up little ones that when we join our children in their happy noisemaking – or we simply embrace the commotion and effusion of joy around us during the busy Advent season-we are preparing ourselves to welcome Jesus.… just as the angels and wise men did with their singing, trumpeting and gift giving.
This Advent, we are certainly called to find corners of calm to grow closer to Christ, but let us also cry out like Jerusalem, herald the good news, and ‘repeat the sounding joy.’” Kate Wicker

My reflection:
“In times of doubt, remember… When you toss, even the tiniest of pebbles into the ocean, ripples do form. Small, radiating circles that bring waves of change to the flowing current of the water. Within the ocean of humanity, you are the pebble. You have the ability to create the waves and bring change to every life you touch.” J.  Marie Larson
God touches our life each and every day.  Let God’s love flow through you.

My reflection:
“There is something greater and purer than what the mouth utters. Silence illuminates our souls, whispers to our hearts, and brings them together. Silence separates us from ourselves, makes us sail the firmament of spirit, and brings us closer to Heaven; it makes us feel that bodies are no more than prisons, and that this world is only a place of exile.
Kahlil Gibran

My reflection:
“Worry will distract you from the treasures ahead. Instead, keep love and happiness in your heart. Lift your spirits and stay alert to the gifts around you. Don’t waste your time wondering what others may think. You are the only one who has walked in your shoes. You are the most qualified to decide what path you will take.
Fill your journey with love and harmony, joy, and bliss. Look at the world through the eyes of a child, and carry your memories in a heart filled with love and peace.” Christina Curtis

My reflection:
“We speak. He listens. He speaks. We listen. This is prayer in its purest form…. Prayer is not a privilege for the pious, not the art of a chosen few. Prayer is simply a heartfelt conversation between God and His child. My friend, He wants to talk with you. Even though, as you read these words, He taps at the door. Open it. Welcome Him in. Let the conversation begin.” Max Lucado
Let us take some time each day to pray.?

My reflection:
“Today is the first Sunday of Advent.  Here is a prayer for lighting the Advent candles.
Dear God, may this flame of hope, that we light in the darkness, dance upon our Advent wreath, and within each of our hearts as well. Thank you for your gift of hope, the flower that blooms from the ground of faith. We joyfully keep the tradition of ages past as we encircle our Advent wreath with love and prayerful expectation. May this Advent season bring us a new birth of hope in your ancient promises. In Jesus name. Amen.”
