My reflection:
“A conversation with God has a way of putting things in perspective. He often helps us change our attitude, find a solution, or see the humor. God shows us what our talents and gifts are and how to put them to use for our success and peace of mind. God reminds us that mistakes and failures are okay; He helps us learn from them and gives us the confidence to go on. Life can be tough with all its challenges and problems – we get tired and fed up, and sometimes we feel overwhelmed – but it really isn’t all that difficult when you have God… That’s when life is as simple as a prayer.” Barbara Cage
Let us take some time each day to pray. ?

My reflection is from the Mercy Prayer Book:
May the peace of the newborn savior be with us.
May the joy of the angels find voice in us.
May the gift of God to us be given as a gift to all whom we serve. Amen
Have a wonderful day!

My reflection:
“Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: hi, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be.”
 Groucho Marx
Today on this Christmas Eve, let us remember to make the choice to be loving and caring in spite of all the hectic business.

My reflection is from Living Faith:
Lo, I am sending my messenger to prepare the way before me. Malachi 3:1
“Have you been preparing for Christmas since fall? Are you just getting started? No matter how long you’ve been at it, chances are you still have a list of things to accomplish. All that buzzing around is part of the fun and excitement – to a point. When we get bogged down by our lists, though, it’s easy to lose sight of what Christmas is all about.
Take a moment today to check in with yourself are you harried, short tempered or resentful? Are you more focused on presents then presence? On cleaning than community? On food than friends and family? Ask God to be with you in your final preparations. After all, we are heralds of the Christ Child. Our words and deeds in these last days of Advent are how we announce the coming of Christ. We are preparing the Way of the Lord!
Lord Jesus, help me to prepare my heart for you.” Karla Manternach

My reflection:
“Everything worth really doing or having requires that we move forward in new directions, take courageous risks, release and let go of our fears… that we open our hearts fully… enter the space of openness to new possibilities… and allow our courage to come forth and override our fear.” Caroline Joy Adams

My reflection:
“Let me do my work each day; and if the dark and hours of despair overcome me, may I not forget the strength that comforted me in the desolation of other times.
May I still remember the bright hours that found me walking over the silent hills of my childhood or dreaming on the margin of the quiet river, when a light globe within me and I promised my God to have courage amid the tempest of the changing years.
Spare me from bitterness in the shower passion of unguarded moment. May I not forget the poverty and riches are of the spirit. Those the world knows me not, may my thoughts and actions be such as shell keep me friendly with myself. “

My reflection:
Every big change starts with a small step.
If you don’t like how things are going, do something about it.
Be open to new ideas, new people, and new adventures.
Don’t settle for ‘good enough.’ Keep learning, growing, and changing.
Everything in life that we really accept undergoes a change.

My reflection:
“Learn to get in touch with the silence within yourself and know that everything in this life has a purpose. There are no mistakes, no coincidences, all events are blessings given to us to learn from.”Elizabeth
