My reflection:
”It’s easy to look on the bright side of things went all is going well… when the smiles outweigh the frowns in the sunshine is streaming in the window.
But the happiest people are the ones who can say – when all is going wrong, when the clouds get in the way – that a little unhappiness must balance the joys and then a bit of sadness has its place in the world, too.
For these special people know of the balance of nature‘s ways. They know that nothing grows where the sun always shine‘s and they’re gray skies and rain can be an on regrettable sign of the day.
For these fortunate people, their favorite season is always the one they are in, and they continue to look on the bright side, knowing that the sunshine might leave for a while, but that it will never be gone for a long. Jamie Delere

My reflection:
“The world will not fall apart
or leave you behind
if you allow yourself
a few moments of quiet.
There is no need for stress
and struggle.
everything that is meant to be
will be –
with or without your help.
So relax,
find your balance,
and remember…
breathe.” Lisa Butler

My reflection:
“May a spirit of grace and gratitude embrace you in its gentle arms.
May an awareness of the simple daily pleasures bless your life at all times.
May you savor the company of friends, the closeness of loved ones, and the enjoyment of solitude.
May you always appreciate the quiet routines constructed with love that create your life as you know it.” Virginia Parslow

My reflection:
“Have hope. Because it works wonders for those who have it. Be optimistic. Because people who expect things to turn out for the best often set the stage to receive a beautiful result.
Count your blessings. Be inspired to climb your ladders and have some nice, long talks with your wishing stars. Be strong and patient, gentle and wise.
Believe in happy endings. Because you are the author of the story of your life.”
God wants us to be happy and also to be grateful for the many gifts that we have been given.?

My reflection:
As you reach forward with one hand, accept the advice of those who have gone before you, and in the same manner reach back with the other hand to those who follow you; for life is a fragile chain of experiences held together by love. Take pride in being a strong link in the chain. Discipline yourself, but do not be harsh. The pleasures of life are yours to be taken. Share them with others, but always remember that you, too, have earned the right to partake.
Know those who love you; love is the finest of all gifts and is received only to be given. Embrace those who truly love you, for they are few in a lifetime. Then return that love tenfold, radiating it from your heart to fill their lives as sunlight warms the darkest corners of the earth. Love is a journey, not a destination; travel its path daily. Do this and your troubles will be as fleeting as footprints in the sand. When loneliness is your companion and all about you seems to be gone, pause and listen, for the sound of loneliness is silence, and in silence we hear best. Listen well, and your moments of silence will always be broken by the gentle words of encouragement spoken by those who love you.”

My reflection:
“Choose to be well in every way. Choose to be happy no matter what. Decide that each day will be good just because you’re alive.
You have power over your thoughts and feelings. Don’t let your circumstances dictate how you feel. Don’t let your thoughts and feelings color your situation blue or desperate.
Even if you don’t have everything you want, even if you’re in pain or in need, you can choose to be joyful no matter what you’re experiencing. You are more than your body, your physical presence, and your material possessions. You are spirit. You have your mind, heart, and soul, and there is always something to be thankful for.
Decide that life is good and you are special. Decide to enjoy today. Decide that you will live life to the fullest now, no matter what. Trust that you will change what needs changing, but also decide that you’re not going to put off enjoying life just because you don’t have everything you want now. Steadfastly refuse to let anything steal your joy. Choose to be happy… and you will be!” Donna Fargo
I think that this reflection is very powerful. There is so much truth to it. Unfortunately our society right now just seems to be spreading negativity. Each one of us is called to be a joyful person.?

My reflection:
“‘Gratitude’ is one of the nicest feelings a heart can have. It’s a feeling that comes along for a very special reason – and it’s a lovely thought that never goes away once it enters in.
It joins together with precious memories and grateful hopes.
Gratitude lives on, not for just a moment or a day, but through all the seasons that lie ahead.” Marin McKay
Let us take time each day and thank God for all that we have been given.?

My reflection:
“ May a kind word, a reassuring touch, and a warm smile be yours every day of your life, and may you give these gifts as well as receive them. Realize that what you may feel you lack in one regard may be more than compensated for in another. What you feel you lack in the present may become one of your strengths in the future. May you see your future as one filled with promise and possibility. Learn to view everything as a worthwhile experience. May you find enough inner strength to determine your own worth by yourself, and not be dependent on another’s judgment of your accomplishments. May you always feel loved.” Sandra Sturtz Hauss
We are made in God’s image and likeness so we are given the gift of love by God. Let us pause today and thank God for all the gifts of life.?

My reflection today is from Living Faith:
Sun and moon are darkened, and the stars withhold their brightness… The heavens and the earth quake, but the Lord is a refuge to his people…Joel 4: 15-16
“We’ve been through a lot in the past few years: natural disasters, a global pandemic, social and political unrest. Our losses have been personal as well as collective. Many of us have lost or been separated from loved ones. We’ve seen our work lives change, often dramatically. Yet while the tumult of this time has been real, the uncertainty of life is not new. We have never been able to guarantee our safety or that of the people we love. What we take for granted today can be gone in an instant. The one thing we are sure of is that God is with us through it all. The Lord is our refuge, our shelter in the storm. He is with us when the darkness presses in and we can’t see the path at our feet.
Lord of light, be with me in the darkness.” Karla Manternach
Nothing is impossible when God is in our life. Saint Paul tells us nothing is impossible, death, persecution
