My reflection:
“Have faith.
There are things in life you’ll have to overcome. Faith keeps you from going overboard with worry and frustration and doubt. You will manage, and the more faith you have, the less energy you waste on the wrong things. You’ll right the ship and sail on and when the next difficulty comes along, the ‘older and wiser’ you will be very capable of dealing with that one too.”Douglas Pagels

My reflection:
“And every day, the world will drag you by the hand, yelling, ‘This is important! And this is important! And this is important! You need to worry about this! And this! And this!’
And each day it’s up to you to yank your hand back, put it on your heart and say, ‘No this is what’s important.'” Iain Thomas

My reflection:
“For much of my life I was run by this nagging voice in the back of my head they kept insisting, ‘You’re not doing enough! You’re not doing enough!’ but now I’m starting to listen to my body a lot more. It needs tender loving care and I’m the only one who can provide that.” Leonard Felder,PhD

My reflection:
“The world is full of miracles for our five senses if we just open ourselves up to receive them. The trick is to look with fresh eyes, here with new ears. When we do, we come alive again to the wonders all around us – the slant of light on the skyscraper, the smell of hot asphalt as the rain hits the pavement, the sparkle of a strangers smile – and we feel an uplift of emotion. We touch the sheer joy of being alive.
This uplift is available, free, with no expiration date in every moment of our existence. We can tap into it anywhere, anytime if we bought tune into the world around us” Mary Jane Ryan

My reflection:
”Just to look at the sun going down behind green hills; just to watch rain falling on a quiet lake; just to see spinning tops of sand, created by winds whirling over a desert; just to be able to imagine one self a partnership, docking at a pier in a strange and distant port; just to be able to touch the hand of another and feel oneself become a part of that other; just to breathe the evening air and hear the voices of children, raised in laughter; Oh! Just to feel one is a part of all the scheme of things entire – such are the blessings humans have.”

My reflection:
“Forgiveness is letting go of the pain and accepting what has happened because it will not change.
Forgiveness is dismissing the blame. Choices were made that caused the heart; you each could have chosen differently, but you didn’t.
Forgiveness is looking at the pain, learning the lessons it has produced, and understanding what you have learned.
Forgiveness allows you to move on toward a better understanding of universal love and your true purpose.
Forgiveness is knowing that love is the answer to all questions and that we all are in someway connected.
Forgiveness is starting over with the knowledge that you have gained. It is saying: ‘I forgive you, and I forgive myself. I hope you can do the same.'” Judith Mammay

My reflection:
Find happiness in nature in the beauty of a mountain in the serenity of the sea. Find happiness in friendship in the fun of doing things together in the sharing and understanding. Find happiness in your family in the stability of knowing that someone cares in the strength of love and honesty. Find happiness in yourself in your mind and body in your values and achievements find happiness in everything you do.” Susan Polis Schutz

My reflection:
“Spend a while in the garden or the park or the path amongst the trees. Do the things that please you, as well as the things you have to do. Fulfill the work and the tasks of the day while discovering something new and different along the way. Grow, learn, reach out. Be curious. Be childlike.
Remember what imagination is all about. Share a smile, a feeling, a certain personal thought from the heart, from the soul. Care. Kick off your shoes. Sing along with your song. Be less concerned about what others think of you. Be more accepting of the very special person who lives inside you. ” Collin McCarty

My reflection:
”Play is the gateway to vitality. By its nature it is uniquely and intrinsically rewarding. It generates optimism, seeks out novelty, makes perseverance fun, leads to mastery, gives the immune system a bounce, fosters empathy, and promotes a sense of belonging and community.” The National Institute for Play

My reflection:
” Walk along the pathways that enrich your happiness. Taking care of the ‘little things’ is a big necessity. Don’t be afraid of testing your courage. Life is short, but it’s long enough to have excitement and serenity.
Don’t let the important things go unsaid. Do the things that brighten your day and help you on your way. Live life to the fullest; make each day count. “
