Today’s reflection is from the Mercy Prayer Book:
“Spirit of God, come and transform us. Stir up in us and ardent desire to do your will and bring about the reign of mercy and justice. Holy Spirit, praying unceasingly within us, give our tongues the words to praise you, our hearts the fervor to love you. Sanctify the work of our lives that all our ask me to give glory to God, today and always. Abide with us that we may abide with you. This we ask in faith. Amen

My reflection today:
“You can do more than you think you can. Try to look at obstacles as lessons and see every goal as reachable. Even if your wings are a little damaged, you can still fly. You can still touch the sky. You can still make a rainbow. You can still dream. You can still try.
Don’t let anyone take away your help, get you down, or make you give up. Don’t let anyone or anything steal your power. Stay strong, encouraged, and hopeful. Know that you are
loved.” Donna Fargo
God loves each one of us unconditionally!❤️

My reflection:
“When we are hurting God doesn’t stay on high – He brings His majesty to earth on the wings of love. When we encounter trials and tribulations, it is God who will help us face whatever is happening in our hearts. He pours His peace into the moments, holds our hands and calms our fears. He walks with us and talks with us along the way. When we need the ultimate in compassion – the greatest caring, true concern – it is God’s love that wipes each tear away and brings tomorrow’s hope.
God isn’t far away… He’s always by your side.” Barbara J. Hall
There are times when we are hurting that we feel no one can understand, let us remember that God can always understand and is with us.❤️

My reflection today is from The Little White Book:
“The church has celebrated the feast of the Visitation for over a thousand years.
In Luke’s gospel, Mary (who learned in the Annunciation that her kinswomen Elizabeth was six months pregnant) leaves her home in Nazareth and travels south to ‘the hill country’, a trip of about 90 miles. The town is never named, but an old tradition places it at Ain Karim, about five miles west of Jerusalem.
Elizabeth speaks the first beatitude in Luke’s gospel: ‘Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.’
In response Mary speaks her Magnificat which is part of the Church’s evening prayer every single day of the year.”

My reflection is from The Little White Book:
“Memorial Day is said to have begun in Waterloo, New York, where, on May 5, 1866, the citizens honored the graves of the Civil War dead and flew flags at half mast.
Two years later, an organization of Army veterans designated May 30 ‘for the purpose of strewing with flowers or otherwise decorating the graves of comrades who had died.’ it came to be known as ‘Decoration Day.’
Memorial day is now a national holiday commemorating all who died in war, and is celebrated on the fourth Monday of May.”
Today, let us remember all those who died to make us free. I would like to remember my Uncle George who died in World War II. I was named in memory of him.?

My reflection:
“Joy in your heart, your mind, your soul.
Happiness with yourself and with the world.
Harmony.
Courage to feel, to need, to reach out.
Freedom to let yourself be bound by love.
Friendship.
Wisdom to learn, to change, to let go.
Acceptance of the truth and beauty within yourself.
Growth.
Pleasure in all that you see and touch and do.
Peace with yourself and with the universe.” Maureen Doan
God gives us these important treasures in our life.?

My reflection:
“Trust your God, pay attention to what your mind is telling you, and always follow your heart.
Sometimes the hardest times in our lives are what push us further, inspire us to be bolder, teach us about real hope, and help us to become the greatest version of that person we always hoped we’d be. (Ashley Rice)
For all the days when nothing seems to be going right… remember there will be plenty of days when everything goes better than
expected.
It’s important to believe in yourself and when you feel like you have the right idea to stay with it.”(Rosa Parks)
Let us remember that God is always with us even through the most difficult times.?

My reflection:
“Dreams that are always deep enough to bless you, strong enough to guide you, and big enough to take you to the stars and beyond; small pleasures and big joys and happy skies that always shine down upon you; more smiles and laughter than you ever had before; contentment and well-being that follow you everywhere; all the things that mean the world to you; prayers that soar to heaven; and a guardian angel at your side. May every dawn be a place full of beauty and happy endings. May you feel glad in your heart, joyous in your spirit, and grateful for your life.”

My reflection:
“I wish I’d known that God would give me all the strength and faith I needed to go through some of my own tough times…. Perhaps I wouldn’t have been so afraid.” Maria Shriver
During difficult times it is important to reach out to God.?

May 25,2022

My reflection is from The White Book:
Jesus said: “The one who had received five talents came forward bringing the additional five. He said, ‘Master, you gave me five talents. See I have made five more.’ His master said to him, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. Come share your master’s joy.’” (Mt 25:20-21)
“This simple parable about a master who entrust his money to his servants, and then comes back for some accountability, applies to everyone.
Every gift that I have belongs to God, and I am to use that gift on behalf of God. To realize and truly believe that everything belongs to God can have tremendous implications.
To believe this and to put that belief into practice will make all the difference in the world.
When I die, God will ask me: “What did you do with the gifts I entrusted to you to use on my behalf?””
Let us pause and think about how we use the gifts that have been given to us by God
