My reflection:
“Too often discouragement, unhappiness, and stress take a toll on our lives and rob us of the joy we’re entitled to. It’s at those times that we must not take the power of prayer for granted; we should stop what we’re doing and focus on God. In stressful times, we should consciously back off from the situation and take a moment to reflect on what’s really important. A conversation with God has a way of putting things in perspective. He often helps us change our attitude, find a solution, or see humor.“ Barbara Cage
I certainly needed to hear this today. When things seem out of whack God puts them into perspective; if we take the time to listen to God.?

My reflection is from Living Faith:
… the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit… Romans 5:5
wesome mystery is hardly one that can be neatly defined. Every once in a while, I am inspired because the focus is on the love that moves through each of the three Persons and goes forth to embrace everyone. It is this Love that has been poured into our hearts to sustain us in good times and in the not-so-good. This Love is what I count on. I do not need a theological explanation to uplift and encourage my daily life. What I do need is the assurance of a God whose Love is so abundant that it pours like a full carafe of wine into my heart. Sr. Joyce Rupp, O.S.M.
Gods love is constantly being poured into our lives

My reflection:
“As long as you keep trying you won’t ever stop achieving. Keep feeding your mind, and it won’t go hungry for ideas. Stay optimistic, and you won’t ever lose hope.
Embrace change, and you’ll keep on growing forever. Keep making new friends, and your circle will constantly expand. Nurture the talents of others, and you’ll always get results.
Be a promise keeper, and you’ll keep peoples trust be who you are, and you’ll always be real. Give credit to those who help you reach goals, and you always have a team.
Keep aiming high, and you’ll always have dreams. Keep your eyes open, and you’ll see opportunities. Keep your enthusiasm, and you’ll always be inspired.” Jacqueline Schiff

My reflection:
“Savor each moment presented to you. Make certain you’ve taken the time to watch the sun both rise and set and have allowed yourself a moment to enjoy the night light’s game of hide-and-seek as the moon and stars peep out of the darkness.Stop to appreciate the new blossom on a flower as it’s beauty unfolds and colors the earth.
Be silent and listen to the songs of nature as they greet you. The music of the birds and creatures around us is a gift of Mother Earth.
Smile at the people around you. Be aware that none of us exists within a vacuum and that who we are, what we do, and what we say will have an impact on someone every single
day.“ Brenda Hager
Take time to savor every moment.?

My reflection:
“Be someone others admire for the life that you lead and the kindness that is such a sweet and natural part of you…
for the way you treat other people…
for how easily a smile finds its way to your face…
for the work that you do and the places your journeys take you…
for your dedication to all the right things and your devotion to your family…
for how completely you care and how willingly you are always there for the people who need you…
For being the light that you are…
in the lives of others.” L.N. Mallory

My reflection is from Living Faith:
The God who answers with fire is God. 1Kings 18:24
“I put out a campfire recently. The flames had already died down, leaving only a lava-red glow. I’m not a veteran camper, so I was astonished when the bucket of water I threw at the scorching logs evaporated in a cloud of steam. I’d known since childhood that water puts out fire, but until that moment, I didn’t know that fire can put out water!
Elijah must’ve known it. Even though God seemed distant and silent to the people of Baal, Elijah knew that God could explode his sopping wet offering into flames. God can answer our call with fire too. God can make our hearts burn within us when we listen to his Word. He can burst into a period of spiritual dryness and ignite our faith anew. He can inflame our hearts with love for our neighbor, a desire for justice and the joy of the gospel.
Make your heart an offering to God and just see what he ignites in you!
Almighty God, inflame my heart!” Karla Manternach
It is amazing how God’s spirit can renew our faith. We just need to reach out and ask God’s Spirit to guide us.?

My reflection is from Living Faith:
Behold, your mother. John 19:27
“How often we may tell children, ‘Listen to your mother. ‘ Today we celebrate Mary, Mother of the Church. it reminds us not to just listen to but try to imitate our mother. It is wonderful to claim her in flowered grottos and in May crownings, but let’s not forget her intense suffering.
Mary our mother was a strong woman who walked by other face, not by site. She did not know the end of the story as we do. She suffered as a mother does when her child is sick or bullied. Imagine the great ‘why’ that flooded her heart and she stood at the Cross, for her Child had only done good. overcome with sorrow but without bitterness, she stayed close to Jesus to the last.
Today, may we ask Mary to teach us to walk by faith. May we, like her, stay close to Jesus to the last, without bitterness – no matter what – in all the events of our life!” Sr. Bridget Haase, O.S.U.
I remember when I was in high school at Mercy, I was in the Sodality and the children of Mary at Church. At that time, there were so many young women that were active in the parish Children of Mary. Mary, Mother of the Church pray for us.?

My reflection is from The Little White Book:
Pentecost today
“The Holy Spirit doesn’t only come upon us in one simple flash, as a kind of ‘born again’ experience.
The Spirit comes upon us in our baptism and confirmation. The truth is, the spirit comes upon us in a special way in every sacrament, including the Eucharist, transforming us more and more into the image of Christ.
The feast of Pentecost reminds me of this whole truth. It reminds me to be aware of the Lord‘s presence through the gift of the Spirit– present within me and around me when I drive, when I eat, when I work, when I play, when I get up in the morning and go to bed at night, and when I sleep.
To have that Spirit, that constant presence of God – what a great way to live.”
God spirit is always present with us.?

My reflection:
“Wholeheartedly believe that everything is possible with God and that He is as good as His word. see your faith as a powerful source guiding you through each day, and let it free your mind to make room for expanded awareness and new light.
Refresh your spirit with the lessons you’ve learned. You know your heart. You know who you are. There will be answers. Just be patient. Be satisfied with doing the best you can. Adapt the mantra ‘I am strong and the best is yet to come.’ And someday you will look back and say, ‘My dream has come true. Thank you, God. ‘“ Donna Fargo
God is present with us at all times.?
