Knights of Columbus, Silver City Council No. 2

Founded in May 1883, Silver City Council No. 2 is the second-oldest Council in the Knights of Columbus, the world’s largest Catholic men’s fraternal organization. Put your faith into action. The four pillars of the Knights are charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism. The Knights of Columbus invite you to join other like-minded Catholic men in supporting our faith, parish, and community.

Become a Member

You must be a practicing Catholic male at least 18 years of age who aspires to live in accord with the precepts of the Catholic Church.

Apply online at www.kofc.org. A brother Knight will contact you regarding membership benefits and about joining the council.

Knights meet monthly on a Monday night or Saturday afternoon at one of the three Meriden Catholic Parishes.

What do the Knights do?

Members are involved in many council and parish activities. Here are some of those activities:

  • Scholarships for Catholic Students Entering High School and College
  • Financial support for Meriden Catholic Parishes and their activities
  • Tootsie Roll Drive to Support Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities
  • Blessed Michael McGivney Prayer Garden
  • Seminarian and Clergy Support
  • Fried Dough Fridays Lenten Fundraiser
  • Basketball Free Throw competition
  • Christmas Project to Assist those in Need
  • Veteran’s Day Wreath Laying at Meriden Catholic Cemeteries
