The Rev. Alfred R. Merusi Memorial Scholarship
Reverend Alfred R. Merusi served as pastor at Holy Angels Church, from July 8, 1982 until his death on February 18, 1995. One of his passions and commitments was supporting education for young people. The Holy Angels Church Men’s Club established a scholarship in his memory for high school graduates who would be attending college or a university who are members of the parish. The Father Merusi Scholarship(s) will be awarded to one or more qualified High School Seniors. The Scholarship will be for one year.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Each applicant must be a high school senior at the time of the application and an active participant and volunteer in parish activities at Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish.
- The applicant must intend to enroll in an accredited two- or four-year institution of learning.

Marion and Dorothy Whalon Scholarship
The Marion and Dorothy Whalon Scholarship has been established from the Whalon Estate to provide College and University Scholarships for graduates of the Saint Joseph School, Meriden, CT.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be an 8th grade graduate of Saint Joseph School, Meriden, CT from the school years 1921-2017.
- Must be enrolled full time in a College or University of higher education. It is not limited to only undergraduates.
